Phil and his wife Rhonda have lived in the Central Wisconsin area for over 50 years and are the owners of Hooksetters Guide Service. Phil and Rhonda have 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
Phil and his wife have traveled the country over looking for some of the best hunting and fishing and found this area in Central Wisconsin to be one of the best.
Phil has worked with organizations like the Big brothers big Sisters, the Kippenberg Creek Kids, Prime Water Anglers, Bills Musky Club, The 12 Apostles Musky Club and many more. Phil is also an outdoor writer, a seminar speaker, product specialist, and volunteer at many children's events.
Phil is one of the top money winners on the professional musky circuit.
In his years on the tour Phil has accumulated over 50 top ten finishes, 20+ first place wins, and has been honored with the prestigious "Team of the Year" award 2 separate times.

Terry Faivre
Terry is a retired Army veteran with 4 tours to Iraq and Afghanistan who now resides in Wisconsin Rapids. His back yard is the beautiful Wisconsin River where he does most of his fishing. Terry is a very accomplished angler, but he specializes in ice fishing for big walleyes and pike. He is also known for targeting perch and panfish through the ice.
Terry is also a well-known multi species guide, and he does a great job during the open water season. Once he is in the boat Terry specializes in trolling for most species that swim, but he prefers to target walleyes. Terry's true passion is definitely walleyes but no matter what the day calls for he will put you on fish!

Along with being an accomplished angler Glenn worked at Gander Mountain in Central Wisconsin in the firearms department and was the manager of Bills House of Guns in Merrill for many years. If there is something you need to know about firearms Glenn is an expert which makes him a very valuable asset to the Hooksetters team.

on 17# line at 40+ pounds and 52 inches it is still on of the
largest muskies to come from the Wisconsin River system.

I am a Lifetime member of Bill's Musky Club out of Wausau, WI.
As a young teen, I won the Junior Division Award for biggest musky 3 consecutive years in a row. I enjoy every kind of fishing, but I definitely excel in Musky and Walleye fishing.
My main goal for every trip out is that the customer has a GREAT fishing experience and that the customer catches fish!!
I currently run an 1850 Crestliner Raptor with a 200 HP Mercury motor. The boat is, as always, clean and organized and equipped with top-of-the-line equipment and electronics.
I am originally from Merrill, WI. but currently reside in Wausau, Wisconsin with my wife Leah.
I have been fishing the Central Wisconsin area for over 25 years now and this is the place that I call home!
I enjoy teaching adults and especially kids what fishing is all about. Catching fish is one thing but teaching them why they are catching them is another thing, and that's what I do BEST!!!
