Whitetail Deer and Black Bear

Hunter: Justin Gaiche

Game: 8 Pt. Whitetail

This beautiful 8 pointer walked 31 yards in front of Justin on day two of his 2006 Buffalo Co. hunt.  After seeing several large deer chasing does, this one was BEING chased, by a coyote.  After being shot, he walked less than 20 yards before expiring.  The deer had been using a major trail to chase between the morning food source and mid day bedding areas.

Game: 7-Point Whitetail Deer

Here is the first lady of Hooksetters, Phil's wife Rhonda.  Rhonda is responsible for so much in Hooksetters including, assisting us in tournament and guiding prepreation, booking trips for us, feeding me and keeping Phil in line.  Rhonda's success on the water and in the woods is impressive for anyone especially a woman, something we encourage seeing more of.  Rhonda's 30.5" walleye, Top 10 tournament finish and 11 point buck rivals the success of many outdoorsmen/women.  The 11 pointer was Rhonda's first deer with the rifle in 2003.  A 140" plus deer is a true trophy and this year she set out for the first time with a bow.  With her self-picked tree stand, own bow practice and determination, Rhonda shot her first deer with a bow, this heavy hoofed 7 pointer.  Now she trucks on with a doe in sights and the rifle season approaching.  Good Job Rhonda, all of us at Hooksetters are proud of you!

Game: 12 Point Whitetail Deer

Here is Hooksetters Guide Phil Schweik with his 2006 bow buck. This beautiful 12 point buck is Phils 3rd Pope and Young deer taken with a bow.  He has been hunting all of his life and has taken some real giants.  This one will definetly make a great addition to the many trophies on his wall.
