After having a strutting tom in the roost just yards behind us early in the morning we thought we were in for a quick hunt however an active hen led the tom to fly down out of range. She also drew three additional toms from far to our west. After being ousted by the hen we picked up and stalked through the woods to the next field. In our travels we kicked up a hen and approached the field to see several strutters with hens over 200 yards away. A quick call on "The Freak" and this gobbler left the crowd and made a B-Line straight down the tru glos on the 10 ga. A 30 yard shot later and this hunt was done!

Hunter: Rhonda Schweik - Guide Phil Schweik
Weight: 21.9 pounds
Beard: 10"
Spurs: 1.25", .75"
On the first morning of her turkey hunt it was cold and rainy but warm and dry from inside our blind I was able to call in not one but six bearded toms for Rhonda to pick from. When the closest one in the group went behind a pine tree I told her to raise her gun and point it in the direction of the birds. When the turkey poked his head out from behind the tree she fired.... and at thirty five yards he went down like a ton of bricks!!! She says turkey hunting is easy! I think this is a beautiful trophy for her first bird.

Hunter: Bill Reines
Guide: Justin Gaiche
Weight: 18 pounds
Beard: 6.5"
Spurs: N/A
This was Bill's first turkey hunt. From the moment we sat on the ground, gobblers surrounded us. Throughout the day, we moved on birds and mishap would occur. Late into day one, Bill's first shot failed to connect. Persistant we remained as on the closing minutes of day two, Bill smacked this 18 pounder from a long ways out
